Promotion AND Stewardship Sunday!
WOW - this is a busy time of year isn't it?
I'll have a 'real' (and much more informative!) post to follow soon, but wanted to be sure to get a few things up asap!
Tomorrow is Promotion Sunday!!! This is a fun and excited day for children ages 2 years thru 4th grade in our church, and I am looking forward to seeing everyone there! Children will begin the Sunday school hour in their previous year's classroom, and their new Sunday school teachers will assist them in 'moving up' to their new classrooms. Parents will pick their children up in their new Sunday school classrooms at the end of the Sunday school hour.
Stewardship boxes are returned during the worship services tomorrow. In the 8:25 and 11:05 services, Dr. Davis will invite the children to place their offering boxes in the baskets located under the chancel. In the 9:45 worship service, all children 2 years thru 4th grade will process into the service together (following the announcements) to present their offerings. Each class will bring in a basket full of their offering boxes to present together. There are extra boxes in each Sunday school classroom - just in case ;)
